Aurele Maillet

Aurele Maillet, 89, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully on Saturday
October 13, 2018 at the Stella Maris-de-Kent Hospital,
Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. He was married to Angéline (Richard)
Maillet. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Joseph and
the late Dina (Cormier) Maillet.
Aurele was employed as a welder with the Canadian Copper in Montreal
for 33 years, and was also a 3rd degree Knight of Cloumbus.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Angéline, his five
children; Gisèle Maillet Bordeleau (Michel) of Bouctouche Bay,
Gilles of Épiphanie, Claude of Vernon, BC, Jean-Guy (Chantal)
of Maskinongé, QC, and Daniel of Bouctouche, his six
grandchildren: Mandy, Guylaine, Jamie, Marie-Claude, Alexandre and
Eric as well as eight great grandchildren; Alyssa, Quin, Ameerah,
Coulson, Zachary, Loïc, Mikael, Henri. He also leaves to mourn
two sisters; Thérèse LeBlanc and Marie Smith of Moncton
and three brothers; Yvon (Janita), Albéo (Dorine) of Bouctouche
and André of Waltham, MA, as well as several nephews and
nieces.
Aurele was predeceased by three sisters; Noëlla (1956),
Marguerite (1971) and Rita (1992) and three brothers; Gérard
(2000), Alphonse (2004) and Hervé (2008).
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de
l’église, Bouctouche on Wednesday October 17, 2018 from 2
to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at the
Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Wednesday
October 17 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Aurele’s memory, donations may be made to the New Brunswick
Lung Association.
