Arthur « Joe » Wattie

It is with heavy hearts that the daughters and family of Arthur “Joe” Wattie announce his passing on December 16, 2018 at Heartwood Long Term Care after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s at the age of 86. Beloved and devoted husband to the late Shirley Wattie (née Gliddon). Devoted father of three daughters, Beth Leger, Heather Brazeau (Peter) and Cindy Wattie (Gary). Cherished grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of one. Survived by sister, Lorraine Grant and brothers, Ernest Wattie and Alfred Wattie. Predeceased by parents, Arthur and Edna (née Lauzon) Wattie and by sisters, Corine, Shirley, Pauline and Phyllis and one brother, Lawrence. Joe was a long time committed employee of Domtar. Thank you to the nurses and staff at Heartwood for taking such good care of our dad. “Dad, happy fishing with mom”. Resting at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN, CORNWALL FUNERAL HOME, WEST BRANCH, 20 Seventh Street West, (613-932-8482) on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Funeral. Funeral will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 in St. Columban’s Parish at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to The Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
