Obituary for
Arthur « Art » Bernard Bergeson
On June 8, 2018, Mr. Arthur Bernard Bergeson of Mayerthorpe, AB, formerly of Whitecourt, AB, passed away at the age of 82 years.
Art will be lovingly remembered by his children, Gerald, Marty (Angie), Lorraine, Sheila (Andy), Terry (Wendy), Cathy (Joe) and Doreen (Hank); twenty grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Maryann); sister, Tressie, and many more dear relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Mary; one great-great-grandchild; parents, Andrew and Viola; and brothers, Ivan (Marie) and Lorry.
Art was a wonderful husband and father, and his world revolved around family. Art had a way of loving others unconditionally, and he picked up on the uniqueness of everyone and loved them according to that.
Thank you to Dr. Naicker and the staff of the Mayerthorpe Health Care Centre for the care shown to Art and the family.
A Celebration of Art’s Life will be held Saturday, September 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion #126, 5111 – 45 Avenue, Mayerthorpe with Pastor Ian Smith officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mayerthorpe Hospital Auxiliary Association, Box 582, Mayerthorpe, AB T0E 1N0.
