It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Anna May Wagner age 75 of Amherst on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Moncton Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born in Joggins, NS she was a daughter of the late Gertrude (Hickey) Cooke.
Anna will be remembered for the love of yard sailing and thrift store shopping. Her social nature, led her to many cribbage tournaments, where she enjoyed the bantering with her many friends.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Stanley (Bonnie), Georgetown, ON, Lorna Wagner (Eric), Cambridge, ON and Lana Bouchard, Fort McMurray, AB; grandchildren, Julie, Andrea, John, Meghan, Krista, Sarah, Wade and Christopher; eight great grandchildren; siblings, Lawson Cooke, River Hebert, Judy (Barry) Smith, Coleman PEI, Linda (Terry) Shimkoff, Toronto, ON, Sally (Craig) White, Amherst, Wayne Brown, River Hebert, Myrna Chitty-Brown, Kingston, ON, and Laurie Mattatall, Amherst; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her mom, Anna was predeceased by her children, Nancy McLellan and Janet Lawless; siblings, twin sister, Betty Roberts, Vincent Cooke, Freddie Brown, Sandra Ann Brown.
As per Anna’s wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst (902) 667-9906 and there will be no services.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the River Hebert Cemetery.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Anna’s memory may be made to the Bridge Adult Service Centre or the Cumberland VON.
