Andre Perron
PERRON: Andre Joseph Charles age 73 of Swift Current, SK passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 15, 2018 at the Meadows. At his request there will be no formal service, and a private family service will be held at a later date from St. Anne’s Cemetery in Lac Pelletier, SK. Andre is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Lea; his son’s Michael and his children Mackenzie and Tristan, Stephan, and Greg and his children Wyatt and Kayla; his sisters Yvonne-Irene (Rick), Annette (Ted), and Lil (Terry); his brothers Raymond (Lynn) and Denis (Myrna); in-laws Peggy (Brent), Joanne (Bob), Dolly, Paul (Maryse), Con, Andre and Ron; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His is predeceased by his parents Victor and Irene Perron; son Gregory Perron; sisters Pauline, Yvette, Margurite, Maryann and Lucille; brothers George and Marcel; and parents-in-law Pete and Marie Elias. Andre was born on October 20, 1944 in Ponteix, SK and grew up on a farm in Lac Pelletier. He attended school at Newville School in Lac Pelletier, College Mathieu, Gravelbourg and Beatty Collegiate in Swift Current, SK. He married Lea Elias on March 30, 1974 at St. Michael’s Church in Swift Current. After obtaining his certificate for motor vehicle body reapir in 1965 he was employed at A&B Body Shop in Regina, SK. He then moved to Vancouver, BC and was employed at Rolly Dean’s Autobody. Upon moving back to Saskatchewan, he was employed at Ford Body Shop, and then opened Perron Collision Repairs with his brother Marcel. He then ran the body shop at Wiltor Motors and Palliser Autobody unitl his retirement in 2005. He was a long time member of the Knight’s of Columbus. Andre loved to spend time with family, playing cards, fishing, hunting and attending family reunions. Family was his number one priority. He also volunteered his time at Camp Lemieux and working bingo’s for various charities. He will be forever missed by his wife and family.
