Alois Svacina
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Alois (Louis) Svacina on August 21, 2018 at Trinity Village Care Centre, Kitchener at the age of 90. Predeceased by his loving wife, Wilma (Wolf) and brother-in-law Martin Wolf. Loving father of Fred Svacina. Lovingly remembered by daughter-in-law, Martha, grandson, Nicolas, sisters-in-law Gabriele Wolf, Kitchener, and Rosie Toeper, Austria, as well as sisters Beatrix, Kitchener, and Elfie and Erna in Austria. Alois was a loving and caring father and Opa. Married for over 60 years, Alois and Wilma enjoyed travelling, golfing, and spending vacations with family at their condo in Craigleith, Ontario.
In Austria and Canada, Alois was an avid sportsman who enjoyed downhill skiing, white water kayaking, mountain climbing, biking and golf. He skied many mountains, worked hard, and enjoyed life to its fullest.
Alois left many beautiful memories and will be forever loved. To honour Alois’ wishes, cremation has taken place, and no visitation or memorial celebration will be held. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memory Gardens Funeral Home, Breslau, Ontario. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Village Care Centre, 2727 Kingsway Drive, Kitchener, Ontario. Sincere gratitude to the staff of Walnut Grove and Trinity Care Village for their supportive and loving care.
