Alma Ruth Nippel
22 May , 1928 – 26 May , 2018
Surrounded with love Alma passed away on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 in her 91st year.
Predeceased by her husband William, her daughter Kathleen, her sister Elfrieda, her brother Arthur, and by her parents Emil and Ernestine Schimming. Long time parishioner of St. Joseph’s RC Church. Alma will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother by her children; Ruth (Luby), Arlene (Lanny), Bill (Ruth) and Bob (Patricia). Sweet and gentle grandma to L.A. Shergold (Mark), Jesse Gould (Heather), Mandy Noakes (Matthew), Caleb Nippel, Court Nippel and Katie Nippell (Paul). Precious great grandma to Sebastian and Elize Gould and Eli Noakes. Alma was a kind and generous soul who taught her family to love and forgive and was greatly loved by all whose lives she touched. Our gratitude to the PSW’s and nurses at Lanark Heights and to the hospice volunteers.
Family and friends will be received at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., on Monday, May 28th, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday May 29th from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon. A celebration of Alma’s life will be held in the Westmount Chapel at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Innisfree House would be greatly appreciated.
