Alice Robichaud
1927-2018
SAINT-IGNACE, NB –
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved
mother and grand-mother Alice Robichaud, 90, at La Villa Maria,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Friday, February
16th, 2018. Born in Saint-Ignace,
she was the daughter of the late Placide and Léocadie
(Desroches) Gallant. Alice was known as the town seamstress for many
years. The memories of her contagious smile, her big heart, her
generosity, her tenderness and her unconditional love for her family
will forever have a place in our
hearts.
Alice will be sadly missed by her two daughters,
Marie-Paule Pellerin (Donald) of Bouctouche and Annette Richard
(Irois) of Saint-Ignace; four sons, Jean-Guy (Solange) of
Saint-Ignace, Maurice (Edith) of Moncton, Daniel of Grande-Digue and
André (Janice) of Saint-Ignace; her eight grandchildren,
Stéphane, Marc, Denis, Yves, Allain, Mélanie,
Christel and Jean-Jacques; and her six great grandchildren,
Adèle, Nellie, Janelle, Miguel, Savannah and
Jonah-Will.
Alice also leaves to mourn her two sisters, Laurida
Johnson (late Adélard) of Dieppe and Germaine Gallant of
Montreal, QC; two brothers, Valmond Gallant
(Thérèse) of Saint-Ignace and Philias Gallant
(Yolande) of Toronto, ON; two sisters-in-law, Rose-Mai Gallant of
Saint-Ignace and Ursule Gallant of Saint-Louis; one brother-in-law,
Bernard Brideau of Fredericton; as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, Alice is predeceased by her
husband Paul-Emile Robichaud; one son, Maurice; three sisters, Sister
Gemma Gallant, f.m.a., Rose-Anna Brideau and Rose-Eva Richard; four
brothers, Yvon, Gérard, Paul-Emile and
Laurie.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s
Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm
and Monday from 9:00am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass
will be celebrated on Monday, February
19th, 2018 at 11:00am,
Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Ignace. Donations
in Alice’s memory made to the Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola Parish
or to the Villa Maria (Activities fund) would be appreciated by the
family.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to
the staff at La Villa Maria, to Dre. Josette Vautour and to the staff
at Le Foyer Bois-Joli for the wonderful care given to Alice over the
years.
Arrangements are in the professional care of
Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto.
