LANDRY, Alice Doreen
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Alice Doreen Landry at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on January 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was the daughter of the late Andrew Landry and Rita Thompson of Sydney.
Alice was a hard working mother who devoted her time to her two loving sons and opened her home to many over the course of her life. She loved getting out for an afternoon of bingo or an evening of cards and having a good chat with her sisters. Due to her generous and kind spirit, she was loved and will be missed by many.
Survived by her two sons, Amos (Nicole) Priemski of New Mines and Christopher (Amanda) Landry of Sydney, and her only grandchild, her granddaughter, Sophia; brothers, Nick Thompson of Manitoba, and sisters, Margie Taylor, Lorraine (George) Moore and Linda (Phillip) Wareham, all of Sydney. Along with several special nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Johnny Landry.
Visitation will be held at S.W. Chant and Son Funeral home at 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, on Thursday January 18, from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be held at the chapel on Friday, January 19 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sheldon Chant to officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
