Obituary of William Motrich
MOTRICH, William (Bill, Billy, Uncle Buck) Edward November 10 1948 – November 8 2018
It is with such a heavy sadness and great loss that as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Midland, while shielding his wife of 40 years Colleen, Bill was tragically taken. He left this world as a hero, a saint and a savior. He is survived by his wife Colleen and his sons Garret (Katie) Andrew (Beth) and Nick (Robyn) He is also survived by his heartbroken sister Kathleen Poole (Maurice) from Wasaga Beach, her son Jeremy, his sister-in-law Carole (Clifford 1946-2007) and their sons Jeffery and David. There are so many nieces and nephews that feel this heavy and surreal loss as well. Bill always lived a life more than life itself, he was a proud employee at Ford OTP for 33 years, in which he made many friends, be it playing hockey, baseball and golf. He always made everyone laugh, for laughter is the best medicine. He was well liked by many of his school friends from the Toronto/GTA, which he still kept in contact with over the many years living away from the Toronto area. It didn’t matter when or where you met him, he always had a knack of remembering and keeping in contact. Bill was also a member of the Milton and Midland Knights of Columbus, he was also in a marching band with his older brother Clifford in his younger days. He was a proud and protective husband, the most proud and loving father, the greatest uncle, Godfather, and the most humorous man that had a joke for anything and everything. His love and care for others rewarded him his angel wings and halo on his last night with us!
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 1, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from HOLY ROSARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 139 Martin St., Milton with interment to follow at Burlington Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held at Royal Ontario Golf Course, 6378 Trafalgar Road, Hornby.
