Ruby Elizabeth « Beth » Mann
MANN, Ruby Elizabeth « Beth » née McKay Beth was born at Kars, Ontario, and died peacefully in hospital on June 3, 2018, after a short illness, with family at her side and just shy of her 80th birthday. She is remembered as a well-loved primary school teacher (including at Blossom Park and Century schools), high school athlete, gardener and singer. Dearly loved wife of the late Bob Mann (2010). Survived by her beloved children Robbie, Elizabeth, Catherine (David Hamilton), and Peter (Abby Dionne). She leaves her adored grandchildren Hope, Leila, Jane, Zach, Polly, Aida, Aria, Theo, Julian, William, and Elena. Devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews, and fondly remembered by many cousins and sisters-in-law Joan and Mary Lou. Predeceased by her parents Betty (Relyea) and John McKay, sister Dorothy and brothers David and Norman. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor), on Friday, June 8, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 1 pm on Saturday, June 9, with a reception to follow. Those wishing to make a memorial donation are invited to consider the Tim Hortons « Send a Kid to Camp » program, or a favourite children’s charity.
